Have you ever felt stuck, drained, or like no matter what you do, you can’t seem to move toward the life you want? You’re not alone. Many of us have been told that to attract positive experiences, we need to raise our frequency or vibration. The higher your vibration, the better your life, right?

Here’s the truth: focusing solely on “raising your frequency” isn’t the key. What really matters is addressing what’s holding you back and following what lights you up through a holistic approach that honors your mind, body, and emotions.


Reason 1: Follow Your Joy

When you follow your joy, your frequency naturally rises. That’s it. No need to overthink it.

For example, I noticed that whenever I carve out time for a simple joy—like a quiet morning walk or journaling with my favorite tea—my whole energy feels lighter and more aligned.


Reason 2: Shifts in Energy and Awareness

It may sound a bit abstract, but the energy around us is changing. We can feel this in how intense life can be at times. Your body and nervous system naturally respond to this and are constantly seeking balance. You don’t need to control this process; by staying present and taking good care of yourself, your energy will naturally adjust.


Reason 3: Shadow Work and Holistic Healing

Engaging in holistic healing practices—like emotional processing, inner child work, somatic work, or Shadow Work—helps you release trauma. This is the most crucial way to sustainably raise your frequency. Trauma and unresolved triggers keep your energy low, and no technique alone can fix that.


Nourish Your Mind, Body, and Emotions

A holistic lifestyle supports your frequency. This includes:

  • High-vibrational foods like fresh fruits and vegetables, living foods your body recognizes

  • Movement: find a movement practice that feels good for you
  • Mindful practices that calm and center your mind

  • Emotional self-care that helps you process and release energy

Other supportive tools include:

  • Essential oils

  • Burning sweetgrass

  • Using blue lotus

Practicing these consistently can help keep your vibration stable to some degree, but remember: you can’t maintain a high frequency without addressing the root causes of low energy.


What Doesn’t Work

Focusing on quick techniques without healing trauma or acknowledging triggers only gives temporary boosts. You might feel lighter for a day or two, but your energy will dip again until the underlying blocks are cleared.


Clear What Doesn’t Serve You

Everything that doesn’t align with your future desires needs to be released. Holistic healing methods teach you how to integrate and clear this energy, so you stop getting stuck in repetitive loops and start moving forward toward what you truly want.


Balance Healing with Joy

Healing and self-reflection are essential, but don’t forget to also make time for the things that bring you joy. Play, creativity, time in nature, or simple daily pleasures are just as important. Healing + joy = sustainable, high-frequency living.

Stop relying on fleeting techniques. Instead:

  1. Follow one small joy today—even five minutes counts.

  2. Notice a trigger or emotion and journal about it.

  3. Try one holistic healing practice—like shadow journaling, somatic movement, or mindful breathwork.

This combination of healing + joy will elevate your vibration in a way that sticks.

Remember: your frequency naturally rises when you follow your joy, take time for inner work, and gently let go of what no longer serves you. Do this in a holistic way, caring for your body, mind, and emotions. Start today, feel the difference in your energy, and notice how it makes your life lighter.
